uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit

וְשִֽׁעֲשַׁ֥ע יוֹנֵ֖ק עַל־חֻ֣ר פָּ֑תֶן

and,he_will_play infant on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in hole_of cobra

It can be stated clearly that the baby will be safe because the snake will not bite it. Alternate translation: [A toddler will be safe playing beside the home of a poisonous snake]

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / parallelism

וְשִֽׁעֲשַׁ֥ע יוֹנֵ֖ק עַל־חֻ֣ר פָּ֑תֶן וְעַל֙ מְאוּרַ֣ת צִפְעוֹנִ֔י גָּמ֖וּל יָד֥וֹ הָדָֽה

and,he_will_play infant on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in hole_of cobra and,over den_of viper's weaned his/its=hand put

These two clauses mean basically the same thing. The second emphasizes the meaning of the first by repeating the same idea with different words. Hebrew poetry was based on this kind of repetition, and you may want to show this to your readers by including both phrases in your translation. If it is helpful, you could connect the phrases in a way that shows that the second phrase is repeating the first one, not saying something additional. Alternate translation: [And the nursing child will play over the hole of the adder, indeed, the weaned child will stretch out his hand over the den of the viper]

Note 3 topic: translate-unknown

גָּמ֖וּל

weaned

Unlike a nursing child, a weaned child is no longer drinking its mother’s milk. If your readers would not be familiar with what a weaned child is, you could use the name of a similar thing that your readers would recognize, or you could use a more general term, as modeled by the UST.
