Normally the OET discourages the reading of individual ‘verses’, but this view is only designed for doing comparisons of different translations. Click on any Bible version abbreviation down the left-hand side to see the verse in more of its context. The OET segments on this page are still very early looks into the unfinished texts of the Open English Translation of the Bible. Please double-check these texts in advance before using in public.

בִּ֣י
please
This word is used by a speaker to beg a superior to allow him to speak. See what you did in 4:10. Alternate translation: “Please”
שְֽׁלַֽח־נָ֖א בְּיַד־תִּשְׁלָֽח
send now in/on/at/with,someone_else send
In translating this phrase, it is important to make clear that Moses is asking Yahweh to send someone else. Here he is not accepting Yahweh’s commission.
Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / synecdoche
בְּיַד
in/on/at/with,someone_else
This phrase means “by a person.” The figure is of a person taking Yahweh’s message in his hand to the Israelites and Pharaoh. If it would be helpful in your language, you could translate the meaning plainly.
