HAPHebrew accents and phrasing: See Allan Johnson's Hebrew accents and phrasing analysis.

TSNTyndale Study Notes:

13:11-18 The narrator makes numerous contrasts between Lot and Abram.

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit

ק֚וּם הִתְהַלֵּ֣ךְ

arise walk

The phrase Get up may imply that Abram was sitting down, but it probably just means that God is telling him to start walking through the land. Alternate translation: [Now go walk]

בָּאָ֔רֶץ

on_the=earth

Alternate translation: [all over the land]

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / merism

לְאָרְכָּ֖הּ וּלְרָחְבָּ֑הּ

through,length_of,its and,through,breadth_of,its

Speaker is referring to all of the land by naming two extremes, walking through its length and through its width. Consider what is the best way to translate this in your language. Also consider whether or not it is better in your language to begin a new sentence here. Alternate translation: [from end to end and side to side] or [Walk throughout the entire land, looking it over]

כִּ֥י לְךָ֖ אֶתְּנֶֽנָּה

that/for/because/then/when to/for=yourself(m) give,it

In the Hebrew text, the phrase to you is before the verb to emphasize that God is giving it to Abram. In your translation, communicate this emphasis in a way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: [because you are the one I am giving it to] or [for it is to you that I am giving it]
