BrTr Hearken, I pray you, and hear: will they not speak thus, There is no man that repents of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? the runner has failed from his course, as a tired horse in his neighing.
ULT I paid attention and listened, they did not speak right. There was not a man sorry because of his wickedness, saying,
⇔ “What have I done?” All of them turn in their running,
⇔ like a stallion plunging into battle.
UST I have listened carefully to what they say, but they do not say what they should say. Not one of them is sorry for having sinned.
⇔ No one says, “I have done wicked things.” They are sinning and doing what they want to;
⇔ Charging into sinful behavior with the excitement of a horse that is running into a battle.
BSB I have listened and heard; they do not speak what is right. No one repents of his wickedness, asking, ‘What have I done?’ Everyone has pursued his own course like a horse charging into battle.

OEB I have listened with ear intent–
⇔ And their words are utterly false.
⇔ Not a man repents of his wickedness
⇔ Or thinks upon what he has done:
⇔ But each rushes on in his course
⇔ As a war-horse rushes in battle.
WEBBE I listened and heard, but they didn’t say what is right.
⇔ No one repents of his wickedness, saying, “What have I done?”
⇔ Everyone turns to his course,
⇔ as a horse that rushes headlong in the battle.
WMBB (Same as above)
NET I have listened to them very carefully,
⇔ but they do not speak honestly.
⇔ None of them regrets the evil he has done.
⇔ None of them says, “I have done wrong!”
⇔ All of them persist in their own wayward course
⇔ like a horse charging recklessly into battle.
LSV I have given attention, indeed, I listen,
They do not speak right,
No man has sighed over his wickedness,
Saying, What have I done? Everyone has turned to his courses,
As a horse is rushing into battle.
FBV I've heard exactly what they said, but they don't tell the truth. No one is sorry for doing wrong, asking, “What have I done?” Everyone chooses their own way, like a horse charging into battle.
T4T I have listened carefully [DOU] to what they say,
⇔ but they do not say what they should say.
⇔ Not one of them is sorry for having sinned.
⇔ No one says, “I have done [RHQ] wicked things.”
⇔ They are sinning and doing what they want to
⇔ as fast as [SIM] a horse that is running into a battle.

8:6 The Lord, who can listen to everything (cp. Luke 12:3), heard the people even when they talked in private. Not a word correlated with reality, and no one was sorry for doing wrong. Like a horse galloping into battle with no thought of death or danger, they did not consider the consequences of their sins.
The words “they” and “them” in these verses refer to the people of Judah.
Connecting Statement:
Yahweh continues giving Jeremiah his message to the people of Judah.
