uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / idiom

מָצָ֨אתִי חֵ֤ן בְּעֵינֶ֨יךָ֙

found graciousness/kindness/favour/beauty in/on/at/with,sight,your

Here, found favor is an idiom that means that God is pleased with Moses. You may also need to make the phrase active in form and change the abstract noun favor into another form. Finally, eyes are a metonym for sight, and sight is a metaphor representing his evaluation. See how you dealt with the multiple issues in the phrase I have found favor in your eyes in Exodus 33:12.

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor

עַם־קְשֵׁה־עֹ֨רֶף֙ ה֔וּא

people stiff_of neck he/it

Moses speaks of the people being rebellious as if they had hard necks. See how you translated this in Exodus 32:9.

Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / doublet

לַעֲוֺנֵ֥נוּ וּלְחַטָּאתֵ֖נוּ

to,iniquity,our and,to,sin,our

The words iniquity and sin mean basically the same thing and are combined for emphasis. If your language does not use repetition in this way, you can combine these phrases. Alternate translation: “all our sins”

TSN Tyndale Study Notes:

34:1-35 God granted Moses’ request (33:18), showed Moses his goodness (34:1-9), and renewed the covenant (34:10-35). This renewal was a unilateral statement by God. God would indeed go with his people, maintaining his covenant promises even though they had broken the covenant (32:1-6) and deserved nothing better than death and abandonment.
