OET (OET-RV) If it’s a male donkey, a lamb can be given as a ransom instead, but if you don’t pay a ransom then you must kill the donkey. It’s compulsory to ransom your eldest sons. Don’t come to worship me without bringing something.

(Some words not found in UHB: and,firstborn donkey redeem in/on/at/with,lamb and=if not redeem and,break_~_neck,its all firstborn sons,your redeem and=not appear before,me empty-handed )
This verse is very similar to Exodus 13:13.
Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit
בְשֶׂ֔ה & וַעֲרַפְתּ֑וֹ
in/on/at/with,lamb & and,break_~_neck,its
If it would be helpful to your readers, you could express explicitly that either the lamb or donkey must be killed, as in the UST.
לֹ֥א תִפְדֶּ֖ה
not redeem
Alternate translation: “you do not ransom the donkey”
כֹּ֣ל בְּכ֤וֹר בָּנֶ֨יךָ֙ תִּפְדֶּ֔ה
all firstborn sons,your redeem
Firstborn sons and firstborn donkeys belonged to Yahweh, but Yahweh did not want them sacrificed to Him. Instead, the Israelites were to sacrifice a lamb in their place. This allowed the Israelites to buy the donkeys and sons back from Yahweh.
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / doublenegatives
וְלֹֽא־יֵרָא֥וּ פָנַ֖י רֵיקָֽם
and=not appear before,me empty-handed
Here understatement is used to emphasize that the Israelites must bring a suitable offering to Yahweh. This portion of the verse is identical to the end of Exodus 23:15. If this double negative would be misunderstood in your language, you could translate it as a positive statement. Alternate translation: “come to me without a proper offering” or “always bring an offering to me”
34:1-35 God granted Moses’ request (33:18), showed Moses his goodness (34:1-9), and renewed the covenant (34:10-35). This renewal was a unilateral statement by God. God would indeed go with his people, maintaining his covenant promises even though they had broken the covenant (32:1-6) and deserved nothing better than death and abandonment.

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Greek words that they’re translated from.
