Note: This view shows ‘verses’ which are not natural language units and hence sometimes only part of a sentence will be visible. Normally the OET discourages the reading of individual ‘verses’, but this view is only designed for doing comparisons of different translations. Click on any Bible version abbreviation down the left-hand side to see the verse in more of its context. The OET segments on this page are still very early looks into the unfinished texts of the Open English Translation of the Bible. Please double-check these texts in advance before using in public.

(Non arabis in bove simul and asino. )
22.10 Non arabis. ISID.
ISID. In bove and asino arat, who recipit Evangelia when/with Yudæorum observantia, which præcessit in umbra. In bove too bene operantium vita, in asino stultorum socordia: quasi, fatuum sapienti in prælet_him_sayione not/no socies, not through him who rem implere not/no valet to_him obsistas who prævalet. Stultus vero and sapiens bene conyunguntur, as one præcipiat and alter obediat, not/no as æquali potestate the_word of_God annuntient. Allegorice lineis vestibus lanam or purpuram miscet, who inordinate vivit, and profectionibus diversi generis, as when/but_if sanctimonialis have ornamenta uxoris, or wife gerat speciem virginis. This however figurabatur in vestibus, that now declaratur in moribus.
22:10 Plowing with an ox and a donkey would be inefficient; this example illustrates the principle of separation and order (see also 2 Cor 6:14-18).
