Here Moses is speaking of an Edomite as if he were actually a brother to an Israelite. He means that the Edomites were descendants of Esau, who was the brother of Jacob, the ancestor of the Israelites. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [for he comes from our relative Esau]
