[Verses 26](../17/26.md) and [27](../17/27.md) repeat what happened in [verse 23](../17/23.md) to emphasize what happened. The author assumes that readers will know that Abraham and Ishmael were circumcised twice. You could say that explicitly if that would be helpful to your readers.
