OET (OET-LV) And_he/it_said the_humankind this_[one] at_last [is]_bone from_my_bones and_flesh/body from_my_flesh/body to_this_(one) it_will_be_called woman if/because from_man she_was_taken this_(one).
OET (OET-RV) and the man said:
⇔ “Now this is bone from my bones
⇔ and flesh from my flesh.
⇔ She’ll be named ‘woman’
⇔ because she came from a man.”
Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit
וַיֹּאמֶר֮ הָֽאָדָם֒
and=he/it_said the=humankind
Remember to only make implied information explicit in your translation if it helps people understand the text better or if it is necessary to prevent wrong meaning or bad grammar in your language. Alternate translation: “Then the man said” or “When the man saw her, he said” or “When the man woke up and saw the woman, he said”
זֹ֣את הַפַּ֗עַם
this(f) the=time//this_time
Alternate translation: “Now there is a person who” or “At last here is a person like me who” or “Ahh! Here is someone like me who”
עֶ֚צֶם מֵֽעֲצָמַ֔י וּבָשָׂ֖ר מִבְּשָׂרִ֑י
bone/body from=my=bones and=flesh/body from=my=flesh/body
Alternate translation: “was made out of my own bones and flesh!”
לְזֹאת֙ יִקָּרֵ֣א אִשָּׁ֔ה
to/for=this he/it_will_be_called woman/wife
There is a play-on-words here because the Hebrew word for woman (“ishsha”) is similar to the Hebrew word for man (“ish”). You could put that information in a footnote.
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / activepassive
כִּ֥י מֵאִ֖ישׁ לֻֽקֳחָה זֹּֽאת
that/for/because/then/when from=man she/it_was_taken this
Consider what is the best way to translate this passive clause in your language. Alternate translation: “because she was taken by God from the body of a man.”
2:23 Adam recognized the woman as a “helper just right for him” (2:20). His celebration of her in poetry and song observed his unity with her, not their distinctions (cp. 29:14).
• Adam declares that “She will be called ‘woman’ (Hebrew ’ishah) because she was taken from ‘man’ (Hebrew ’ish).” He understood the nature of their connection (see Eph 5:28-29). Adam had earlier assessed the animals without finding the characteristics he needed in a partner. How different this evaluation is!

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
