OET (OET-LV)And_DOM every_of creature_of the_living which with_you_all in/on/at/with_birds in/on/at/with_livestock and_on/over_all (the)_animal_of the_earth/land with_you_all from_all [those_which]_came_out_of the_box to_all/each/any/every (the)_animal_of the_earth/land.

OET (OET-RV)and it’s also with every living creature that is with you: with the birds, the livestock, and every living thing on the earth with you, from all that came out of the wooden chest to every future living thing on the earth.

uW Translation Notes:

וְאֵ֨ת

and=DOM

Consider whether or not it is better in your language to break up this long sentence and begin a new sentence here. Alternate translation: “along with” or “The covenant is also with”

וּֽבְכָל־חַיַּ֥ת הָאָ֖רֶץ

and=on/over=all being/animal the=earth/land

Alternate translation: “and all the other living things on the earth” or “and all the wild animals”

מִכֹּל֙ יֹצְאֵ֣י הַתֵּבָ֔ה

from=all came_out_of the=box

The words “from … to …” are used to emphasize that all the animals are included in God’s covenant. Consider what is the best way to express that in your language. Alternate translation: “That includes all those that went out of the ark”

לְכֹ֖ל חַיַּ֥ת

to=all/each/any/every being/animal

Alternate translation: “and all the living things” or “and all the animals”

חַיַּ֥ת הָאָ֖רֶץ

being/animal the=earth/land

Alternate translation: “that live on the earth.”

TSN Tyndale Study Notes:

9:8-17 God’s second post-flood speech conveys his promise and plan for preserving creation.
