OET (OET-RV) Grain for bread must be ground because anyone threshing it doesn’t keep at it forever.
⇔
He can run his cart wheel over it and his horses don’t crush it.
Note 1 topic: writing-pronouns
לֹ֥א & יְדוּשֶׁ֑נּוּ
not & anyone,threshes_it
The pronoun he refers to the farmer, and the pronoun it refers to the grain. It may be helpful to clarify this for your readers. Alternate translation: [the farmer does not thresh the grain forever]
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / activepassive
לֶ֣חֶם יוּדָ֔ק
food/grain/bread crushed
The expression is crushed is a passive verbal form. If it would be unnatural to use that form, you could express the idea in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: [A farmer crushes bread grain]
Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / reduplication
כִּ֛י לֹ֥א לָנֶ֖צַח אָד֣וֹשׁ יְדוּשֶׁ֑נּוּ
that/for/because/then/when not to,perpetuity go_on anyone,threshes_it
Isaiah is repeating forms of the verb thresh in order to intensify his expression of the idea that it conveys. If your language can repeat words for intensification, it would be appropriate to do that here in your translation. If not, your language may have another way of expressing the intensification. Alternate translation: [although the farmer certainly does not thresh it forever]
Note 4 topic: grammar-connect-logic-contrast
וְ֠הָמַם גִּלְגַּ֧ל עֶגְלָת֛וֹ וּפָרָשָׁ֖יו לֹֽא־יְדֻקֶּֽנּוּ
and,he_sets_in_motion wheel_of his_cart_of,his and,horses_of,his not he,crushes_it
Isaiah uses the word but here to indicate a contrast between drives the wheel of his cart over it and does not crush it. In your translation, indicate this contrast in a way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: [Although he drives the wheel of his cart over it, his horse does not crush it]
OET (OET-LV) bread it_is_crushed if/because not to_perpetuity continually_(thresh) anyone_threshes_it and_he_sets_in_motion the_wheel_of his_cart_of_his and_horses_of_his not he_crushes_it.
OET (OET-RV) Grain for bread must be ground because anyone threshing it doesn’t keep at it forever.
⇔
He can run his cart wheel over it and his horses don’t crush it.
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
