Isaiah uses the phrase but they were not willing to hear here to indicate a contrast between Yahweh’s offer of rest and refreshing and the leaders’ refusal to accept it. In your translation, indicate this contrast in a way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: [even though he said to them, “This is rest; give rest to the weary, and this is refreshing,” they were not willing to hear]
