TSNTyndale Study Notes:

39:7-8 God’s judgment on Gog would make known his holy name. Just as he once judged his own people for their sins for the sake of his reputation (36:16-20), now he would defend his restored people and judge their enemies.

UTNuW Translation Notes:

(Occurrence 0) Behold!

(Some words not found in UHB: see/lo/see! coming and,happen declares my=master GOD he/it the=day which/who spoken )

This tells the reader to pay special attention to what follows. Alternate translation: “Look!” or “Listen!” or “Pay attention to what I am about to tell you!”

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / doublet

(Occurrence 0) is coming … will take place

(Some words not found in UHB: see/lo/see! coming and,happen declares my=master GOD he/it the=day which/who spoken )

These two phrases have similar meaning and emphasize the fact that this will really happen. Alternate translation: “is surely going to happen”
