The term translated as Therefore indicates that what follows is a result of what came before. Use a connector in your language that makes this clear. Alternate translation: [Because of that, hear this, please, poor and drunken, but not from wine]

Isaiah is making a conditional statement that sounds hypothetical, but he knows that the condition is not true. He is stating it as a condition to show that the people’s drunkenness is also not true. Use a natural form in your language for introducing a condition that the speaker believes is not true. Alternate translation: [and staggering, but it is not because you drank wine]

Isaiah is using the adjectives poor and drunken as nouns to mean a certain kind of person. Your language may use adjectives in the same way. If not, you can translate these adjectives with equivalent phrases. Alternate translation: [poor person and drunken one]
