44:2 Joseph was giving his brothers the chance to abandon Benjamin if they wanted to. Joseph was testing them to see if they were loyal to the family and faithful to their father.
וְאֶת־גְּבִיעִ֞י גְּבִ֣יעַ הַכֶּ֗סֶף תָּשִׂים֙

Notice that this cup was made out of silver; it was not just silver in color. Alternate translation: [And put my cup, the one that is made of silver]
וְאֵ֖ת כֶּ֣סֶף שִׁבְר֑וֹ

Alternate translation: [and his grain money] or [along with the silver that he paid for the grain]
