BrTrIn that day, said the Lord, I will break the yoke off their neck, and will burst their bonds, and they shall no longer serve strangers:

ULTThe Chaldeans will return. They will fight against this city, capture it, and burn it.’

37:6-10 The Lord answered Jeremiah’s prayer (37:3) with a warning for Zedekiah. The Egyptians would provide no lasting help, and the Babylonians would return to destroy Jerusalem—a prophecy that was fulfilled in 586 BC.
