⇔ just as the house of Israel was ashamed
⇔ when they trusted in Bethel.

⇔ Shall be utterly disappointed,
 ⇔ As Israel was disappointed,
⇔ In Bethel, wherein she trusted.

WEB Moab will be ashamed of Chemosh,
⇔ as the house of Israel was ashamed of Bethel, their confidence.

NET The people of Moab will be disappointed by their god Chemosh.
 ⇔ They will be as disappointed as the people of Israel were
 ⇔ when they put their trust in the calf god at Bethel.
