OET (OET-LV)And_he/it_said Mosheh in/on/at/with_gives YHWH to/for_you_all in/on/at/with_evening meat to_eat and_bread in/on/at/with_morning to_full in/on/at/with_heard YHWH DOM grumblings_your_all’s which you_all [are]_grumbling on/upon/above_him/it and_we what not against_us grumblings_your_all’s if/because on YHWH.

OET (OET-RV)Then Mosheh continued, “So Yahweh will give you all meat to eat in the evening and enough bread in the morning to make you all full. Yes, Yahweh has heard your murmurings against him. As for us, we’re insignificant. Your murmuring isn’t against us, but against Yahweh.”

uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / rquestion

וְנַ֣חְנוּ מָ֔ה

and,we what

Moses used this question to show the people that he and Aaron did not have the power to give them what they wanted. If you would not use a rhetorical question for this purpose in your language, you could translate his words as a statement or an exclamation and communicate the emphasis in another way. Alternate translation: “Aaron and I cannot give you what you want.”

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit

וְנַ֣חְנוּ מָ֔ה לֹא־עָלֵ֥ינוּ תְלֻנֹּתֵיכֶ֖ם כִּ֥י עַל־יְהוָֽה

and,we what not against,us grumblings,your_all's that/for/because/then/when on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in YHWH

The people were complaining against Moses and Aaron, who were Yahweh’s servants. So by complaining against them, the people were really complaining against Yahweh. If it would be helpful to your readers, you could express that explicitly. Alternate translation: “Your complaints are not really against us; they are against Yahweh, because we are his servants”

TSN Tyndale Study Notes:

16:1-36 God demonstrated care for his people by providing manna and quail as food for them.
