uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / infostructure

וַיֶּעְתַּ֨ר יִצְחָ֤ק לַֽיהוָה֙ לְנֹ֣כַח אִשְׁתּ֔וֹ כִּ֥י עֲקָרָ֖ה הִ֑וא

(Some words not found in UHB: and,he_prayed Yiʦḩāq/(Isaac) to/for=YHWH to,the_front_of his/its=wife/woman that/for/because/then/when infertile who/which and,he_was_entreated to=him/it YHWH and=she/it_conceived/became_pregnant Riⱱqāh his/its=wife/woman )

Isaac and Rebekah had been married for almost 20 years and they still had no children. See how you translated barren in Genesis [11:30](../11/30.md). Also, it may be clearer to change the order of the clauses in this sentence to put them in the order in which they happened. Alternate translation: [Isaac prayed earnestly to Yahweh for his wife to have children because she was barren] or [But for many years Rebekah was not able to get pregnant, so Isaac prayed that Yahweh would give her children]

וַיֵּעָ֤תֶר לוֹ֙ יְהוָ֔ה

(Some words not found in UHB: and,he_prayed Yiʦḩāq/(Isaac) to/for=YHWH to,the_front_of his/its=wife/woman that/for/because/then/when infertile who/which and,he_was_entreated to=him/it YHWH and=she/it_conceived/became_pregnant Riⱱqāh his/its=wife/woman )

Alternate translation: [Yahweh did what he prayed for]

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit

וַתַּ֖הַר רִבְקָ֥ה אִשְׁתּֽוֹ

(Some words not found in UHB: and,he_prayed Yiʦḩāq/(Isaac) to/for=YHWH to,the_front_of his/its=wife/woman that/for/because/then/when infertile who/which and,he_was_entreated to=him/it YHWH and=she/it_conceived/became_pregnant Riⱱqāh his/its=wife/woman )

For some languages it is clearer to include here the fact that Rebekah was pregnant with two babies, rather than wait until [verse 22](../25/22.md). Alternate translation: [so that Rebekah became pregnant with twins]
