The point of this comparison is that just as a wife abandoned and grieved of spirit is distressed and full of sorrow, so are you, the people of Jerusalem, whom Yahweh has called back to himself. If it would be helpful in your language, you could make this point explicitly. Alternate translation: [as distressed as a wife who has been abandoned and is full of sorrow]

The expression abandoned is a passive verbal form. If it would be unnatural to use that form, you could express the idea in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: [like a wife whose husband has abandoned her, one grieved of spirit]

and,a_wife_of youth

Isaiah is using a wife of youth as a common expression of the culture to mean “a woman whom a man married when she was young.” If this phrase does not have that meaning for your readers, you could use a comparable expression from your language that does have that meaning, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [and a woman married in her youth]

Isaiah is not using this possessive form your God to indicate that the people of Jerusalem possess or control Yahweh. Rather Isaiah is using these words to indicate that Yahweh is the God whom the people of Jerusalem worship. Alternate translation: [the God whom you worship]
