TSNTyndale Study Notes:

41:1-46 God had used two dreams to identify Joseph as a leader among his brothers (37:5-11). He used two dreams to test Joseph’s faith in prison (40:5-14). Now he would use two dreams to elevate Joseph from prison to preeminence. Joseph had repeatedly proven faithful in small matters; now he would be put in charge of great things.

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / metonymy

אַתָּה֙ תִּהְיֶ֣ה עַל בֵּיתִ֔י

you(ms) you(ms)_will_be on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in house,my

The phrase my house refers here to Pharaoh’s household and all the other people he rules as king. Alternate translation: “So I am putting you in charge of my household and my country,” or “So I am giving you authority over the people in my palace and the rest of my country,”

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / idiom

וְעַל פִּ֖יךָ יִשַּׁ֣ק כָּל־עַמִּ֑י

and,to command,your submit all/each/any/every people,my

Consider whether you have a similar idiom in your language or if you need to say this without an idiom. Alternate translation: “so that all the people in my kingdom must do whatever you say” or “so that all the people I reign over will respect and obey whatever you tell them to do.”

Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / metonymy

רַ֥ק הַכִּסֵּ֖א אֶגְדַּ֥ל מִמֶּֽךָּ

only the=seat greater than,you

In this context, the throne refers to Pharaoh’s position as the king. Make sure that is clear in your translation. Alternate translation: “Only I who sit on the throne as king will have more authority than you.” or “Only I who am king will …”
