TSNTyndale Study Notes:

41:1-46 God had used two dreams to identify Joseph as a leader among his brothers (37:5-11). He used two dreams to test Joseph’s faith in prison (40:5-14). Now he would use two dreams to elevate Joseph from prison to preeminence. Joseph had repeatedly proven faithful in small matters; now he would be put in charge of great things.

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / exclusive

וַנַּֽחַלְמָ֥ה חֲל֛וֹם בְּלַ֥יְלָה אֶחָ֖ד אֲנִ֣י וָה֑וּא

and,dreamed, (a)_dream in/on/at/with,night one(ms) I and,he

See how you translated a similar sentence in Gen 40:5. In verses 11-13, the pronouns we and us exclude Pharaoh. Alternate translation: “One time while we were there, we each dreamed a dream during the same night,”

אִ֛ישׁ כְּפִתְר֥וֹן חֲלֹמ֖וֹ חָלָֽמְנוּ

(a)_man with,meaning dream,its_own dreamed

Consider again how you translated interpretation in Gen 40:5, 8, 12, 18; 41:11 and the related verb “interpret” in Gen 40:16, 22. Alternate translation: “and each of our dreams had its own meaning.”
