UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / parallelism

(Occurrence 0) Do not wipe their sins away from you

(Some words not found in UHB: and=you(ms) YHWH know DOM all/each/any/every plots_of,their against,me of_the,kill not forgive on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in iniquity_of,their and,sin_of,their from,before,sight_of,your not blot_out and,be overthrown to=your=face in/on/at/with,time_of anger_of,your make/work/create/deal in/on/at/with,them )

Jeremiah speaks of Yahweh forgiving his enemies’ sins as if someone had written their sins down and Yahweh would erase them. This phrase means the same thing as the previous phrase. Alternate translation: “Do not pardon their sins”

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / activepassive

(Occurrence 0) let them be overthrown before you

(Some words not found in UHB: and=you(ms) YHWH know DOM all/each/any/every plots_of,their against,me of_the,kill not forgive on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in iniquity_of,their and,sin_of,their from,before,sight_of,your not blot_out and,be overthrown to=your=face in/on/at/with,time_of anger_of,your make/work/create/deal in/on/at/with,them )

If your language does not use the passive form in this way, you can state this in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: “let people overthrow them in your presence”

Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / abstractnouns

(Occurrence 0) in the time of your wrath

(Some words not found in UHB: and=you(ms) YHWH know DOM all/each/any/every plots_of,their against,me of_the,kill not forgive on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in iniquity_of,their and,sin_of,their from,before,sight_of,your not blot_out and,be overthrown to=your=face in/on/at/with,time_of anger_of,your make/work/create/deal in/on/at/with,them )

The word “wrath” can be translated with a verb. Alternate translation: “when you are still angry with them”
