ULTYahweh of hosts says this: The thick walls of Babylon will be completely demolished,
⇔ and her high gates will be burned.
⇔ Then the peoples coming to her aid will labor uselessly; everything that the nations try to do for her will be burned up.”

⇔ The city gates will be burned.
⇔ People from other countries will work hard to save the city,
⇔ but it will be in vain,
⇔ because everything that they have built will be destroyed by fire.”

BSBThis is what the LORD of Hosts says: “Babylon’s thick walls will be leveled and her high gates consumed by fire. So the labor of the people will be for nothing; the nations will exhaust themselves to fuel the flames.”

⇔ The labour of nations is doomed to the flames.

WEBBEThe LORD of Armies says:

T4TYahweh also says,
