OEB “Tell Joseph: Forgive, I beg of you, the wrongdoing and sin of your brothers, for they treated you basely.” So now we beg of you forgive the wrongdoing of the servants of your father’s God.’
¶ While they were speaking to him, Joseph began to weep,

WEBBE ‘You shall tell Joseph, “Now please forgive the disobedience of your brothers, and their sin, because they did evil to you.” ’ Now, please forgive the disobedience of the servants of the God of your father.” Joseph wept when they spoke to him.

Luth Also sollt ihr Joseph sagen: Lieber, vergib deinen Brüdern die Missetat und ihre Sünde, daß sie so übel an dir getan haben. Lieber, so vergib nun die Missetat uns, den Dienern des Gottes deines Vaters! Aber Joseph weinete, da sie solches mit ihm redeten.
