OET (OET-RV) “What’s this that you’ve done?” Yosef demanded. “Didn’t you know that a man like me can certainly divine the truth?”
Note 1 topic: writing-quotations
וַיֹּ֤אמֶר לָהֶם֙ יוֹסֵ֔ף
and=he/it_said to/for=them Yōşēf
Make sure the way you translate this quote margin fits with the way you translate the following rhetorical question. Alternate translation: “Then Joseph told them,”
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / rquestion
מָֽה הַמַּעֲשֶׂ֥ה הַזֶּ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר עֲשִׂיתֶ֑ם
what the,deed the=this which/who done
Joseph uses rhetorical questions in this verse to express anger and scold his brothers. Some languages must use strong statements or exclamations here instead. Do what is best in your language. See what you did for a similar case in Gen 20:9. Alternate translation: “Why did you do such a terrible thing?” or “You should never have done such a thing!”

Alternate translation: “that a ruler like me”

to_divine he_divines
See how you translated divines in verse 5. Alternate translation: “regularly practices divination!” or “could use divination to find out what you did!”
44:1-34 The brothers appeared to have changed; they had shown remorse over what they had done to Joseph, and they showed integrity in returning the money and in bringing Benjamin. Given a chance to get rid of Rachel’s other son, Benjamin, would they do it?

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Greek words that they’re translated from.
