Judah uses the humble term your servants to show respect and honor to someone of higher status and authority. Alternate translation: [Then you told us, who are your humble servants]

The verb “bring … down” refers to the fact that Egypt was lower in elevation than the region of Canaan. Some translations leave down implied. Alternate translation: [Bring your youngest brother to me so that I can meet him] or [to bring our youngest brother here to you so that you can see him for yourself]
