הֲ⁠יֻקַּ֥ח מִ⁠גִּבּ֖וֹר מַלְק֑וֹחַ וְ⁠אִם שְׁבִ֥י צַדִּ֖יק יִמָּלֵֽט

will,it_be_taken? from,a_warrior prey and=if captives law-abiding/just rescued

Isaiah is using the question form to express that this seems impossible. If a speaker of your language would not use the question form for that purpose, you could translate this as a statement or as an exclamation. Alternate translation: [The spoil cannot be taken from a warrior, nor can the captive of the righteous be rescued.]

The expression the spoil be taken is a passive verbal form. If it would be unnatural to use that form, you could express the idea in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: [Can anyone take the spoil from a warrior]

The expression the captive of the righteous will be rescued is a passive verbal form. If it would be unnatural to use that form, you could express the idea in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: [someone will rescue the captive of the righteous]

law-abiding/just

Isaiah is using the adjective righteous as a noun to mean a certain kind of person. Your language may use adjectives in the same way. If not, you can translate this adjective with an equivalent phrase. Alternate translation: [the righteous person]

Some ancient manuscripts read “the righteous.” The ULT follows that reading. Other ancient manuscripts read “the terrible” or “the tyrant.” If a translation of the Bible exists in your region, you may wish to use the reading that it uses. If a translation of the Bible does not exist in your region, you may wish to use the reading of the ULT.
