ULT Therefore Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel, says this: See, I am about to punish the king of Babylon and his land, just as I punished the king of Assyria.

Here “land” is a metonym for the people who live in the land of Babylon. Alternate translation: “the Babylonian people”
