OET (OET-LV)And_now swear to/for_me in/on/at/with_god here if you_will_deal_falsely to_me and_with_children_my and_with_posterity_my as_the_kindness which I_have_done to_you you_will_do with_me and_with the_earth/land which you_have_sojourned in/on/at/with_her.

OET (OET-RV)So then, swear to me here by God that you won’t treat me or my children or my descendants badly, and that’ll you’ll be kind to this country just as I showed kindness to you.”

uW Translation Notes:

וְעַתָּ֗ה

and=now

King Abimelech’s words to Abraham should sound polite and respectful in your translation, not rude or demanding. See how you translated this phrase in Gen 20:7. Alternate translation: “So now, please”

Note 1 topic: writing-oathformula

הִשָּׁ֨בְעָה לִּ֤י בֵֽאלֹהִים֙ הֵ֔נָּה

swear, to/for=me in/on/at/with,God they(f)

To “swear … by God” means that Abraham would be accountable to God, asking him to be his witness and to punish him if he breaks his oath/vow/promise to King Abimelech. It does not mean that Abraham used swear words or other foul language. If this custom is not familiar to many people in your language area, you could put this information in a footnote. See how you translated a similar sentence in Gen 14:22. Alternate translation: “solemnly promise me here with God as your witness”

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / ellipsis

אִם־תִּשְׁקֹ֣ר לִ֔י

if deal_falsely to=me

According to custom, Abimelech is leaving out the part of the oath that tells what Yahweh will do to Abraham if he violates the oath. Because of the power of spoken words, people left that part to be understood silently. You could supply these words if it would be clearer and not offensive in your language. Alternate translation: “that he will punish you severely if you deal falsely with me”

כַּחֶ֜סֶד אֲשֶׁר עָשִׂ֤יתִי עִמְּךָ֙

as_the,kindness which/who dealt to,you

Alternate translation: “Rather, just as I have treated you kindly,” or “But just as I have been kind to you,”

Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / metonymy

תַּעֲשֶׂ֣ה עִמָּדִ֔י וְעִם הָאָ֖רֶץ

you(ms)_will_make with=me and,with the=earth/land

In this context, the phrase the land refers to the people who live in the land. Alternate translation: “vow that you will also be kind to me and the people in this land”

אֲשֶׁר גַּ֥רְתָּה בָּֽהּ

which/who which/who sojourned in/on/at/with,her

Alternate translation: “where you are sojourning” or “where you are living as a foreigner”

TSN Tyndale Study Notes:

21:22-34 This passage, at its climax, explains the name of Beersheba, Abraham’s home (21:31-34). Beersheba reflected the covenant Abraham made with the residents of the land, which enabled him to dwell there in peace and prosperity. God’s promise was coming to fruition (12:7; 13:14-17; 15:7, 18-21; 17:8).
