WMBB (Same as above)

MSG(2-6)The servant grew up before God—a scrawny seedling,
a scrubby plant in a parched field.
There was nothing attractive about him,
nothing to cause us to take a second look.
He was looked down on and passed over,
a man who suffered, who knew pain firsthand.
One look at him and people turned away.
We looked down on him, thought he was scum.
But the fact is, it was our pains he carried—
our disfigurements, all the things wrong with us.
We thought he brought it on himself,
that God was punishing him for his own failures.
But it was our sins that did that to him,
that ripped and tore and crushed him—our sins!
He took the punishment, and that made us whole.
Through his bruises we get healed.
We’re all like sheep who’ve wandered off and gotten lost.
We’ve all done our own thing, gone our own way.
And God has piled all our sins, everything we’ve done wrong,
  on him, on him.

NETAll of us had wandered off like sheep;
⇔ each of us had strayed off on his own path,
⇔ but the Lord caused the sin of all of us to attack him.

LSVAll of us, like sheep, have wandered,
Man has turned to his own way,
And YHWH has laid on Him the punishment of us all.

FBVAll of us have wandered off, just like sheep. Each of us has gone our own way, and the Lord allowed all our guilt to fall on him.[fn]

53:6 The Septuagint ends this verse “the Lord gave him up for our sins.” The word translated “fall on” is variously translated, for example: approach, came, met, touched, pray to, interceded, pleaded etc.

T4TAll of us have gone away from God like [SIM] sheep who have strayed away from their shepherd.
⇔ We have turned away from doing the things that God wants in order to do the things that we wanted [MET].
⇔ We deserve to be punished, but Yahweh will punish him instead of punishing us for all of our sins.

LEB•  we each have turned to his own way; •  and Yahweh let fall on him •  the iniquity of us all.

BBEWe all went wandering like sheep; going every one of us after his desire; and the Lord put on him the punishment of us all.

(Some words not found in UHB: all,we like_the,sheep gone_astray (a)_man to,way,his_own turned and=YHWH laid in/on/over=him/it DOM iniquity all,us )

Sheep often leave the path on which the shepherd leads them. Isaiah means that we do what we want instead of what God commands.

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor

(Occurrence 0) the iniquity of us all

(Some words not found in UHB: all,we like_the,sheep gone_astray (a)_man to,way,his_own turned and=YHWH laid in/on/over=him/it DOM iniquity all,us )

Our “iniquity” here represents the guilt for our sin. Alternate translation: “the guilt for the sin of every one of us”
