If it would be more natural in your language, you could reverse the order of these phrases, since the second phrase gives the reason for the result that the first phrase describes. Alternate translation: [and since he had heard that the king of Assyria had departed from Lachish, he found him fighting against Libnah]

The author does not mean that the Rabshakeh had to look for the king of Assyria and that he found him at Libnah. He means that he met him there. See how you translated the similar expression in [9:21](../09/21.md). Alternate translation: [and he met]
