Note 1 topic: grammar-connect-logic-result

וַיָּ֨שָׁב֙ רַב־שָׁקֵ֔ה וַיִּמְצָא֙ אֶת־מֶ֣לֶךְ אַשּׁ֔וּר נִלְחָ֖ם עַל־לִבְנָ֑ה כִּ֣י שָׁמַ֔ע כִּ֥י נָסַ֖ע מִלָּכִֽישׁ

and,he_returned great//chief/captain field_commander and,he_found DOM king ʼAshshūr fighting on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in Liⱱnāh that/for/because/then/when heard that/for/because/then/when left from,Lachish

If it would be more natural in your language, you could reverse the order of these phrases, since the second phrase gives the reason for the result that the first phrase describes. Alternate translation: [and since he had heard that the king of Assyria had departed from Lachish, he found him fighting against Libnah]

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit

וַיִּמְצָא֙

and,he_found

The author does not mean that the Rabshakeh had to look for the king of Assyria and that he found him at Libnah. He means that he met him there. See how you translated the similar expression in [9:21](../09/21.md). Alternate translation: [and he met]

Note 3 topic: writing-pronouns

שָׁמַ֔ע כִּ֥י נָסַ֖ע מִלָּכִֽישׁ

heard that/for/because/then/when left from,Lachish

The pronoun he refers in the first instance to the Rabshakeh, and in the second instance, he refers to the king of Assyria. It may be helpful to clarify this for your readers. Alternate translation: [the Rabshakeh had heard that the king had departed from Lachish]
