Isaiah is referring to the entire night by naming its two boundaries, the time of evening and Before morning, to emphasize the swiftness of the enemy’s destruction. If it would be helpful in your language, you could use an equivalent expression or plain language. Alternate translation: [As night approaches … before dawn]

Isaiah is using he is not as a common expression of the culture to mean “he has ceased to exist” or “he is gone.” If this phrase does not have that meaning for your readers, you could use a comparable expression from your language that does have that meaning, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [he is gone] or [he is no more]
