If it is not clear that Israel (verse 5) and “Jacob” (verse 4) refer to the same person, you could include the name Jacob here in your translation or in a footnote. Alternate translation: “The sons of Israel that is, Jacob” or “So the sons of Jacob, who was also called Israel,”
