ULTSo look, the days are coming—this is Yahweh’s declaration—when I will sound the signal for battle
⇔ against Rabbah among the people of Ammon, so it will become a deserted heap and its villages will be set on fire.
⇔ For Israel will possess those who possessed him,” says Yahweh.

USTThere will be a time when I will sound the battle cry
⇔ for their enemies to attack their capital city, Rabbah.
⇔ Then it will become a heap of ruins,
⇔ and all the nearby towns will be burned.
⇔ Then the people of Israel will again possess the land
⇔ that the people of Ammon took away from them.

BSBTherefore, behold, the days are coming,
 ⇔ declares the LORD,
⇔ when I will sound the battle cry
⇔ against Rabbah of the Ammonites.
⇔ It will become a heap of ruins,
⇔ and its villages will be burned.
⇔ Then Israel will drive out their dispossessors,
 ⇔ says the LORD.

OEBTherefore days, saith Jehovah, are coming,
⇔ When over Rabbah of Ammon
⇔ I will bring the alarum of war.
⇔ A desolate mound shall she be,
 ⇔ And with fire shall her daughters be burned;
⇔ And Israel shall hold once more
⇔ The land from which she was driven.

WEBBETherefore behold, the days come,”
 ⇔ says the LORD,
⇔ “that I will cause an alarm of war to be heard against Rabbah of the children of Ammon,
⇔ and it will become a desolate heap,
 ⇔ and her daughters will be burnt with fire;
⇔ then Israel will possess those who possessed him,”
 ⇔ says the LORD.

WMBB (Same as above)

NETBecause you did that,
⇔ I, the Lord, affirm that a time is coming
⇔ when I will make Rabbah, the capital city of Ammon,
⇔ hear the sound of the battle cry.
⇔ It will become a mound covered with ruins.
⇔ Its villages will be burned to the ground.
⇔ Then Israel will take back its land
⇔ from those who took their land from them.
⇔ I, the Lord, affirm it!

LSVTherefore, behold, days are coming,
A declaration of YHWH,
And I have sounded a shout of battle in Rabbah of the sons of Ammon,
And it has been for a heap—a desolation,
And her daughters are burned with fire,
And Israel has succeeded its heirs, said YHWH.

FBVWatch out! The time is coming, declares the Lord, when I will signal the attack on the Ammonite town of Rabbah.[fn] It will be turned into a pile of ruins, and its villages will be burned down. Then the Israelites will drive out the people who took over their land, says the Lord.

49:2 “Rabbah”: the Ammonite capital, known today as Amman, Jordan.

T4TThere will be a time when I will sound the battle-cry
⇔ for their enemies to attack their capital city, Rabbah.
⇔ Then it will become a heap of ruins,
⇔ and all the nearby towns will be burned.
⇔ Then the people of Israel will again possess the land
⇔ that the Ammon people-group took away from them.

LEB• [fn] look, days are coming,”[fn] Yahweh, “and I will sound against Rabbah, the[fn] •  the alarm of the war, •  and it will become as a mound of desolation, •  and its daughters will burn in the fire. •  Then Israel will dispossess his dispossessors,” says Yahweh.

?:? Literally “To thus”

?:? Literally “a declaration of”

?:? Literally “sons of Ammon”

BBEBecause of this, see, the days are coming when I will have a cry of war sounded against Rabbah, the town of the children of Ammon; it will become a waste of broken walls, and her daughter-towns will be burned with fire: then Israel will take the heritage of those who took his heritage, says the Lord.
