Alternate translation: “Look” or “Listen” or “Pay attention to what I am about to tell you”

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / simile

(Occurrence 0) someone will attack like an eagle, and swoop down and spread his wings

(Some words not found in UHB: see/lo/see! like_an,eagle it_will_ascend and,swoop_down and,spreading wings,his on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in Bozrah and=it_was hearts warriors ʼEdōm in_the=day (the)=that like,heart woman/wife in_labour )

This simile means that when the enemy army attacks it will be vicious and unexpected.

Note 2 topic: translate-names

(Occurrence 0) Bozrah

(Some words not found in UHB: see/lo/see! like_an,eagle it_will_ascend and,swoop_down and,spreading wings,his on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in Bozrah and=it_was hearts warriors ʼEdōm in_the=day (the)=that like,heart woman/wife in_labour )

Translate the name of this city as you did in Jeremiah 48:24.

Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / metonymy

(Occurrence 0) the hearts of Edom’s soldiers will become like the heart of a woman in birth labor

Here “hearts” represent a person’s emotions. See how you translated a similar phrase in Jeremiah 48:41. Alternate translation: “Edom’s soldiers will be afraid like a woman about to give birth”
