Structure and Formatting

This chapter presents several oracles that continue to develop the themes of this part of the book. 1. Yahweh promises Cyrus that he will enable him to succeed (1–8) 2. No one should question what Yahweh has chosen to do (9–14) 3. Idol-worshipers will be ashamed, but those who worship Yahweh never will (15–17) 4. Yahweh speaks clearly to the Israelites (18–19) 5. Yahweh is the only true God; idols can reveal nothing (20–25)
