BrTrAll this shall be in the land in the midst of the nations, as if one should strip an olive tree, so shall they strip them; but when the vintage is done,

ULTFor thus it will be in the midst of the earth
 ⇔ among the nations,
⇔ as when an olive tree is beaten,
⇔ as the gleanings when the grape harvest is done.

USTIt will be like that all over the earth:
⇔ there will only be a few people still alive,
⇔ like what happens when workers beat all the olives off a tree and there are only a few left,
⇔ or when they harvest the grapes and there are only a few left on the vines.

BSBSo will it be on the earth
 ⇔ and among the nations,
⇔ like a harvested olive tree,
⇔ like a gleaning after a grape harvest.

OEB  ⇔ Few in the midst of the earth
⇔ will be those who are left of the nations –
⇔ few as the olives when beaten,
⇔ or grapes when the vintage is past.

WEBBEFor it will be so within the earth amongst the peoples, as the shaking of an olive tree, as the gleanings when the vintage is done.

WMBB (Same as above)

NETThis is what will happen throughout the earth,
 ⇔ among the nations.
⇔ It will be like when they beat an olive tree,
⇔ and just a few olives are left at the end of the harvest.

LSVWhen thus it is in the heart of the land,
In the midst of the peoples,
As the surrounding of the olive,
As gleanings when harvest has been finished,

FBVThis is the way it's going to be all throughout the earth among the nations—only a few olives are left after the tree is shaken, only a few grapes are left to be gleaned after the harvest.

T4TIt will be like that all over the earth:

LEB•  among the nations, •  like the beating of an olive tree, •  like gleanings when a grape harvest is at an end.

BBEFor it will be in the heart of the earth among the peoples, like the shaking of an olive-tree, as the last of the grapes after the getting-in is done.

(Some words not found in UHB: that/for/because/then/when thus will_belong in/on/at/with,midst the=earth/land in_the=middle the,nations as,beaten olive_tree as,gleanings if ended grape_harvest )

This compares the nations after Yahweh devastates the land to trees and vines after their fruit has been picked. This means there will be very few people left in the land.
