3 And_they_said to_me the_remnant who they_have_remained from the_captivity there in/on/at/with_province in/on/at/with_trouble great and_in/on/at/with_disgrace and_wall of_Yərūshālayim [is]_broken_down and_gates_its they_have_been_burned in/on/at/with_fire.
4 And_he/it_was when_heard_I DOM the_words the_these I_sat_down and_wept and_mourned days and_was fasting and_praying to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before the_god the_heavens.
5 And_said please Oh_Yahweh the_god the_heavens the_god the_great and_the_awesome [who]_keeps the_covenant and_steadfast_love with_love_him and_for_keep commands_his.
6 Let_it_be please ear_your attentive and_eyes_your open[fn] to_hear to the_prayer servant_your which I [am]_praying to_your_face the_day by_day and_night on the_people of_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) your_servants and_confessing on the_sins of_the_people of_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) which we_have_sinned to/for_you(fs) and_I and_house father’s_my we_have_sinned.
7 Exceedingly_(corruptly) we_have_acted_corruptly to/for_you(fs) and_not we_have_kept DOM the_commands and_DOM the_statutes and_DOM the_ordinances which you_commanded DOM Mosheh servant_your.

4 and_he/it_said to_me the_king on what this [are]_you requesting and_prayed to the_god the_heavens.
5 And_said to/for_the_king if [is]_on the_king good and_if he_is_good servant_your to_your_face (cmp) send_me to Yəhūdāh to the_city of_the_tombs ancestors’_my and_rebuild_it.
6 And_he/it_said to_me the_king and_the_queen [was]_sitting beside_him until when will_it_be journey_your and_when will_you_return and_pleased to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before the_king and_send_me and_set to_him/it an_appointed_time.
7 And_said to/for_the_king if [is]_on the_king good letters let_people_give to_me to the_governors of_the_other_side the_river that grant_passage_me until that I_will_come to Yəhūdāh.
8 And_letter to ʼĀşāf [the_one_who]_kept the_forest which to/for_the_king that he_will_give to_me wood(s) to_make_beams DOM the_gates the_fortress which by_the_temple and_for_wall the_city and_for_the_house which I_will_go to_him/it and_granted to_me the_king for_hand god_my the_gracious on_me.
9 And_came to the_governors[fn] of_the_other_side the_river and_gave to/for_them DOM the_letters the_king and_sent with_me the_king commanders of_[the]_army and_cavalry.
10 and_he/it_listened Sanballat the_Horonite and_Tobiah the_official the_Ammonite and_displeased to/for_them displeasure great (cmp) he_had_come someone to_seek good of_people of_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel).
11 And_came to Yərūshālayim and_was there days three.
12 And_got_up night I and_men a_few with_me and_not I_had_told to/for_ʼĀdām/humankind what god_my putting into heart_my for_doing for_Yərūshālayim and_animal there_[was]_not with_me DOM (if) the_cattle/livestock which I [was]_riding in/on/at/with_her.

16 And_the_officials not they_knew where had_I_gone and_what [was]_I doing and_to_the_Jews and_to_the_priests and_to_the_nobles and_to_the_officials and_to_rest of_the_doer[s] the_work until thus not I_had_told.
17 And_said to_them you_all [are]_seeing the_trouble which we in/on/at/with_her (cmp) Yərūshālayim [is]_desolate and_gates_its they_have_been_burned in/on/at/with_fire come and_rebuild DOM the_wall of_Yərūshālayim and_not we_will_be again a_reproach.
18 And_told to/for_them DOM the_hand god_my (cmp) it [had_been]_good upon_me and_also the_words the_king which he_had_spoken to_me and_they_said let_us_arise and_build and_strengthened hands_their to_the_good.
19 and_he/it_listened Sanballat the_Horonite and_Tobiah the_official the_Ammonite and_Geshem the_Arab and_mocked to/for_us and_despised at_us and_they_said what the_thing the_this which you_all [are]_doing against the_king [are]_you_all rebelling.
20 And_gave DOM_them word and_said to/for_them the_god the_heavens he he_will_grant_success to/for_us and_we servants_his we_will_arise and_build and_have_you_all there_[is]_not a_share and_right and_memorial in/on/at/with_Yərūshālayim.
3 And_he/it_rose_up Eliashib the_priest/officer the_high and_fellow_his the_priests and_rebuilt DOM the_gate the_sheep they consecrated_it and_set_up doors_its and_unto the_tower the_Hundred consecrated_it to the_tower of_Hananel.
2 and_at his/its_hand they_built the_men of_Yərīḩō and_at his/its_hand he_built Zaccur the_son of_Imri.

33 [fn] and_he/it_was just_as he_heard Sanballat DOM_that we [were]_rebuilding DOM the_wall and_it_glowed/burned to_him/it and_enraged greatly and_mocked (on) the_Jews.
34 [fn] and_he/it_said to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before brothers_his and_army of_Shomrōn and_he/it_said what the_Jews the_feeble doing restore to/for_them offer_sacrifices the_finish in/on/at/with_day the_revive DOM the_stones from_heaps the_rubble and_these [are]_burned.
35 [fn] and_Tobiah the_Ammonite beside_him and_he/it_said also [that]_which they [are]_building if it_will_go_up a_fox and_break_down the_wall stone_their.
36 [fn] hear god_our DOM we_are contempt and_turn_back insults_their to heads_their_own and_give_over_them as_plunder in_land of_captivity.

2 [fn] and_plotted all_they together to_come to_fight in/on/at/with_Yərūshālayim and_to_cause to_him/it confusion.
3 [fn] and_prayed to god_our and_set_up a_guard against_them by_day and_night from_because_of_them.
4 [fn] and_he/it_said Yəhūdāh it_has_failed the_strength the_burden_bearers and_the_rubble [is]_much and_we not we_will_be_able to_rebuild in/on/at/with_wall.
5 [fn] and_they_said enemies_our not they_will_know and_not they_will_see until that we_will_come into among_them and_kill_them and_stop DOM the_work.
6 [fn] and_he/it_was just_as they_came the_Jews the_lived near_them and_they_said to/for_us ten times from_all the_places (cmp) you_all_will_turn against_us.
7 [fn] and_stationed in_lowest of_the_space at_behind of_the_wall in/on/at/with_open_places[fn] and_stationed DOM the_people by_families with swords_their spears_their and_bows_their.
8 [fn] and_looked and_stood_up and_said to the_nobles and_near/to the_officials and_near/to the_rest the_people do_not be_afraid from_their_face/front DOM my_master/master the_great and_the_awesome remember and_fight on brothers_your_all’s sons_your_all’s and_daughters_your_all’s wives_your_all’s and_homes_your_all’s.

12 [fn] and_the_builders each sword_his [were]_girded on side_his and_built and_the_sounded in/on/at/with_trumpet beside_me.
13 [fn] and_said to the_nobles and_near/to the_officials and_near/to the_rest the_people the_work [is]_much and_spread_out and_we [are]_separated on the_wall [are]_distant each from_another_him.
14 [fn] in/on/at/with_place (of)_where you_all_will_hear DOM the_sound the_trumpet there_at you_all_will_assemble to_us god_our he_will_fight to/for_us.
15 [fn] and_we [were]_doing in/on/at/with_work and_half_them [were]_keeping_hold in/on/at/with_spears from_break the_dawn until came_out the_stars.
16 [fn] also in/on/at/with_time the_that I_said to_the_people each and_servant_his let_them_spend_the_night in_the_middle of_Yərūshālayim and_they_will_be to/for_us the_night a_guard and_the_day work.
17 [fn] and_neither I and_brothers_my and_servants_my and_men the_guard who followed_me not we [were]_stripping_off clothes_our each weapon_his the_waters.
5 and_it_became (the)_cry_of_distress the_people and_wives_their great against brothers_their the_Jewish.
2 And_there_were [those]_who [were]_saying sons_our and_daughters_our we [are]_many and_get grain and_we_eat and_live.
3 And_there_were [those]_who [were]_saying fields_our and_vineyards_our and_houses_our we [are]_mortgaging and_get grain in/on/at/with_famine.
4 And_there_were [those]_who [were]_saying we_have_borrowed money for_tax the_king fields_our and_vineyards_our.
5 And_now like_flesh brothers_our flesh_our as_children_their children_our and_see/lo/see we [are]_forcing_into_slavery DOM sons_our and_DOM daughters_our to_slaves and_there_are some_of_daughters_our [are_being]_forced_into_slavery and_not in_power help_we and_fields_our and_vineyards_our belong_to_others.
6 And_it_glowed/burned to_me exceedingly just_as I_heard DOM outcry_their and_DOM the_words the_these.
7 And_pondered heart_my with_myself and_accused with the_nobles and_DOM the_officials and_said to/for_them usury[fn] each in/on/at/with_brother_his you_all [are]_lending[fn][fn][fn] and_called against_them an_assembly great.
8 And_said to/for_them we we_have_bought DOM brothers_our the_Jewish the_sold to_the_nations as_far_as_able in/on/at/with_we and_also you_all you_all_sold DOM brothers_your_all’s and_sold to/for_us and_silent and_not they_found a_word.
9 and_said[fn][fn][fn] not [is]_good the_thing which you_all [are]_doing am_not in/on/at/with_fear god_our are_you_all_walking prevent_reproach the_nations enemies_our.
10 And_also I brothers_my and_servants_my [are]_lending (is)_in_them money and_grain let_us_abandon please DOM the_interest the_this.
11 Return please to/for_them as_the_day fields_their vineyards_their olive_groves_their and_houses_their and_one_hundred the_money and_the_grain the_new_wine and_the_oil which you_all [are]_lending in/on/at/with_them.
12 And_they_said we_will_return_[it] and_from_them not we_will_require_[it] so we_will_do just_as you [are]_saying and_called DOM the_priests and_take_an_oath_them for_doing as_the_promised the_this.
13 Also folds_of_robe_my I_shook_out and_said thus may_he_shake_out the_ʼₑlhīmv DOM every the_man who not he_will_carry_out DOM the_promise the_this from_house_his and_from_possessions_his and_so may_he_be shaken_out and_emptied and_they_said all the_assembly amen and_praised DOM Yahweh and_he/it_made the_people as_the_promised the_this.
14 Also from_day when someone_appointed DOM_me to_be governor_their in_land of_Yəhūdāh from_year twenty and_unto year thirty and_two of_Artaxerxes the_king years two_plus ten I and_brothers_my the_food the_governor not I_ate.
15 And_the_governors the_former who to/for_my_face/front they_made_heavy on the_people and_they_took from_them in/on/at/with_food and_wine after silver shekels forty also servants_their they_domineered over the_people and_I not I_did thus from_face/in_front_of the_fear of_god.
16 And_also in/on/at/with_work the_wall the_this I_kept_hold and_land not we_acquired and_all servants_my [were]_assembled there on the_work.
17 And_the_Jews and_the_officials one_hundred and_fifty person[s] and_the_came to_us from the_nations which around_us [were]_at table_my.
18 And_which it_was made for_day one [was]_an_ox one sheep six chosen and_birds they_were_made to_me and_between ten days in_all wine in_abundance and_for this the_food the_governor not I_sought DOM it_was_heavy the_burden on the_people the_this.
19 Remember to/for_me god_my for_good all that I_have_done on the_people the_this.
6 and_he/it_was as_when it_was_heard to_Sanballat and_Tobiah and_to_Geshem the_Arab and_to_rest enemies_our DOM_that I_had_rebuilt DOM the_wall and_not it_was_left in/on/at/with_it a_breach also until the_time the_that doors not I_had_set_up in/on/at/with_gates.
2 And_sent Sanballat and_Geshem to_me to_say come and_meet together in/on/at/with_villages in/on/at/with_plain of_Ono and_they [were]_planning for_doing to_me harm.
3 And_sent to_them messengers to_say a_work great I [am]_doing and_not I_am_able to_come_down to/for_what will_it_cease the_work just_as leave_it and_come_down to_you_all.
4 And_sent to_me in_the_message the_this four times and_answered DOM_them in_the_manner the_same.
5 and_sent to_me Sanballat in_the_way the_this a_time fifth DOM servant_his and_letter open in_his/its_hand.
6 [was]_written in/on/at/with_it in/on/at/with_nations [is]_heard and_Geshem [is]_saying you and_the_Jews [are]_planning to_rebel on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in yes/correct/thus/so you [are]_rebuilding the_wall and_you(ms) [are]_about_to_become to/for_them as_king according_to_the_reports the_these.
7 And_also prophets you_have_appointed to_call concerning_you in/on/at/with_Yərūshālayim to_say a_king in/on/at/with_Yəhūdāh and_now it_will_be_heard to/for_the_king according_to_the_words the_these and_now come and_confer together.
8 and_sent to_him/it to_say not it_has_occurred such_the_things the_these which you [are]_saying DOM in_mind_your_own you inventing_them.
[fn] 9 DOM all_they [were]_making_afraid DOM_us to_say they_will_drop hands_their from the_work and_not it_will_be_done and_now strengthen DOM hands_my.
10 And_I I_went the_house of_Shemaiah the_son of_Delaiah the_son of_Mehetabel and_he [was]_shut_up and_he/it_said let_us_meet to the_house the_ʼₑlhīmv to the_middle the_temple and_close the_doors the_temple DOM [people_are]_coming to_kill_you and_night [people_are]_coming to_kill_you.
11 And_said man like_me will_he_flee and_how like_me who he_will_go into the_temple and_save_life not I_will_go.
12 And_perceived and_see/lo/see not god sent_him DOM the_prophecy he_had_spoken against_me and_Tobiah and_Sanballat hired_him.
13 So_that [was]_hired he so_that I_may_be_afraid and_act thus and_sin and_it_was to/for_them for_name bad so_that taunt_me.
14 remember god_my to_Tobiah and_to_Sanballat according_to_works_they these and_also to_Noadiah the_prophetess and_to_rest the_prophets who they_were making_afraid DOM_me.

16 and_he/it_was just_as they_heard all enemies_our and_they_saw all the_nations which surrounding_us and_fell exceedingly in/on/at/with_eyes_of_their and_they_knew DOM_that from_with god_our it_had_been_done the_work the_this.
17 Also in_the_days the_those [were]_multiplying the_nobles of_Yəhūdāh letters_their [which_were]_going to Tobiah and_which from_Tobiah [were]_coming to_them.
