דְּע֗וּ

(Some words not found in UHB: know that/for/because/then/when YHWH he/it ʼElohīm he/it he,made_us and_[belong],to we people_of,his and,the_flock_of his_pasture_of,his )

The word translated as Know is a command. If, in your language, someone would not command someone else to know something, then use a form in your language that communicates an exhortation to fully realize something. Alternate translation: [Let us fully realize] or [You must believe that it is true]

יְהוָה֮ ה֤וּא אֱלֹ֫הִ֥ים

YHWH he/it ʼElohīm

The pronouns Yahweh and he both refer to God. The psalmist is stating the pronoun he separately, even though it could be omitted, in order to emphasize that it is Yahweh specifically who is God. If a speaker of your language would use an explicit pronoun for the same purpose, you may want to use that construction in your translation. If not, your language may have other ways of showing the emphasis here. Alternate translation: [it is Yahweh who is God]

הֽוּא־עָ֭שָׂ⁠נוּ

The psalmist is stating the pronoun he separately, even though the verb translated as he made us already includes this meaning. He is doing that to emphasize that Yahweh is the one who made us and no one else. If a speaker of your language would use an explicit pronoun for the same purpose, you may want to use that construction in your translation. If not, your language may have other ways of showing the meaning here. Alternate translation: [he is the one who made us]

ו⁠לא אֲנַ֑חְנוּ

and_[belong],to we

Many ancient manuscripts read and not we. The ULT follows that reading. Other ancient manuscripts read “and we are his.” If a translation of the Bible exists in your region, you may wish to use the reading that it uses. If a translation of the Bible does not exist in your region, you may wish to use the reading of the ULT. Alternate translation: [and we are his]

The psalmist is leaving out some of the words that in many languages a sentence would need in order to be complete. You can supply these words from the context if that would be clearer in your language. Alternate translation: [and it was not we who made ourselves]

וְ⁠צֹ֣אן מַרְעִיתֽ⁠וֹ

and,the_flock_of his_pasture_of,his

The psalmist is speaking here as if the people were actually sheep that belong to God. Your language may have a comparable expression that you can use in your translation, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [and he provides for us as though we were sheep in his pasture]
