The psalmist is not using the phrase my God to mean that he possesses or controls Yahweh, but rather to emphasize that Yahweh is the God the one he worships. See the introduction to Psalms for further discussion. Alternate translation: [the God whom I worship]

בְּ⁠ךָ֣ חָסִ֑יתִי
