The phrase The voice of Yahweh could: (1) refer to the actual voice of Yahweh or (2) this phrase could mean “The thunder of Yahweh” since this phrase sometimes had that meaning in Hebrew. Alternate translation: [The thunder of Yahweh is over the waters]

By the waters, David means the sea and here he probably specifically means the Mediterranean Sea. If it would be helpful in your language, you could use plain language as in the UST.

David is leaving out some of the words that in many languages a sentence would need in order to be complete. You can supply these words from the context if that would be clearer in your language. Alternate translation: [The voice of Yahweh is heard over the waters … Yahweh’s voice is heard over many waters]

Here the word the ULT translates as over, both times it occurs in this verse, could mean: (1) over, as in the ULT, or (2) “against.” Alternate translation: [is against … is against]

The phrase the God of glory thunders could mean: (1) that Yahweh’s powerful voice sounds like thunder. Alternate translation: [the glorious God speaks with a voice like thunder] or [the God of glory speaks powerfully], or (2) that Yahweh sends thunder. Alternate translation: [the God of glory sends thunder]

אֵֽל־הַ⁠כָּב֥וֹד

David is using the possessive form to describe the God who is characterized by glory. If a speaker of your language would not use the possessive form for this, you could express this idea in another way. Alternate translation: [the glorious God]
