OET (OET-LV)[fn] in_god who_I_praise message_of_his in_god I_have_trusted not I_am_afraid what flesh will_it_do to_me.

56:5 Note: KJB: Ps.56.4

OET (OET-RV)All day long they twist my words.
⇔  They’re always thinking about how to harm me.

None
uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit

דְּבָרַ֣י יְעַצֵּ֑בוּ

(Some words not found in UHB: in,God praise word_of,his in,God trust not afraid what? do flesh/meat to=me )

The term that the ULT translates as matters can also mean “words.” So this could mean: (1) that the people David is describing are causing trouble in his affairs. Alternate translation: [they cause trouble in my affairs] or (2) that these people are figuratively reshaping, that is, distorting, what David says. Alternate translation: [they twist my words]

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / hyperbole

כָּל־מַחְשְׁבֹתָ֣ם

(Some words not found in UHB: in,God praise word_of,his in,God trust not afraid what? do flesh/meat to=me )

David is saying all as an overstatement for emphasis. He is referring not to every thought that his Philistine captors have but to all of their thoughts about him. If it would be helpful in your language, you could use a different way to express the emphasis. Alternate translation: [all of their thoughts about me]
