The psalmist is speaking as if being glad were actually something that could happen at a location, in Yahweh. He means that the righteous should be glad because of Yahweh or should find their gladness in their relationship with Yahweh. Your language may have a comparable expression that you can use in your translation, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [because of Yahweh]
