You may wish to put this expression at the end of the previous verse, as many versions do, so that the refrain of this psalm will be the same in all three of its occurrences.

The psalmist may be using the plural term Hermons because: (1) Mount Hermon has three distinct peaks. Alternate translation: [and Mount Hermon] or (2) he is referring to the range of mountains that includes Mount Hermon. Alternate translation: [and the Hermon mountain range]

מֵ⁠הַ֥ר מִצְעָֽר

from=hill mizar

Mount Mizar seems to have been the psalmist’s specific location within the general area he describes in the earlier part of this verse. It is not known to what mountain he was referring, so it is not possible to associate it with a mountain that is known by another name today. We therefore recommend that you use the name Mount Mizar in your translation.
