God is using wandering of heart as a common expression of his culture to mean “tending to stray” or “lacking in commitment.” If this phrase does not have that meaning in your language, you could use a comparable expression from your language that does have that meaning, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [blowing hot and cold] or [lacking in commitment]

וְ֝⁠הֵ֗ם לֹא־יָדְע֥וּ

and,they not know

The pronouns they, they refer to the people of Israel whom God is describing. The psalmist is stating the pronoun they separately, even though the verb translated as they have not known already includes this meaning. He is doing that to emphasize that these very people failed to know God’s ways. If a speaker of your language would use an explicit pronoun for the same purpose, you may want to use that construction in your translation. If not, your language may have other ways of showing the emphasis here. Alternate translation: [and those very people have not known]

Here God is speaking of how he wants people to live as if that were ways that people could walk along. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [the way that I teach people to live]
