uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / rquestion

הֲלֹ֥א יָדְעוּ֮ כָּל־פֹּ֪עֲלֵ֫י אָ֥וֶן אֹכְלֵ֣י עַ֭מִּי אָ֣כְלוּ לֶ֑חֶם

?,not know (Some words not found in UHB: ?,not know all/each/any/every do_of evil eat_up_of people_of,(of)_my eat food/grain/bread YHWH not call_on )

The psalmist is using the question form to express amazement that wicked people oppress others without recognizing that God will judge and punish them for doing that. If a speaker of your language would not use the question form for that purpose, you could translate this as a statement or as an exclamation. Alternate translation: [They ought to know better, the doers of iniquity, the ones eating my people as they eat bread!]

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / simile

אֹכְלֵ֣י עַ֭מִּי אָ֣כְלוּ לֶ֑חֶם

eat_up_of (Some words not found in UHB: ?,not know all/each/any/every do_of evil eat_up_of people_of,(of)_my eat food/grain/bread YHWH not call_on )

The point of this comparison is that just as someone can eat bread easily and quickly, so these doers of iniquity readily oppress and exploit vulnerable people. If it would be helpful in your language, you could make this point explicitly. Alternate translation: [the ones eating my people as readily as they eat bread]

Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor

אֹכְלֵ֣י עַ֭מִּי אָ֣כְלוּ לֶ֑חֶם

eat_up_of (Some words not found in UHB: ?,not know all/each/any/every do_of evil eat_up_of people_of,(of)_my eat food/grain/bread YHWH not call_on )

The psalmist is speaking as if these doers of iniquity were actually eating the people of his nation. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [the ones exploiting my people as readily as they eat bread]
