26.2 Super me nocentes. ID. Ut se mihi præferant insultantes: quod vertit Deus in melius, ut maledico dente non me, sed carnalia desideria consumant. Vel edant, id est, delectetur in morte mea crudelitas inimicorum, carnes; animam non possunt. Infirmati sunt. ID. Dum Christus carnem accepit, nutantes facti, et post ex toto se fidei subdiderunt. 26.2 Above/Over me harm. ID. As himself to_me they_may_prefer insulting: that turns God in/into/on better, as slanderous tooth not/no me, but carnal_(things) desires they_may_consume. Or let_them_eat, that it_is, delight in/into/on death my cruelty of_enemies, meats; the_soul not/no they_can. Weakened are. ID. While Christ/Messiah the_flesh he_received, nodding made, and after from throughout himself of_faith they_placed_under. CASS. Or, weakened little_by_little to ruin soul they_arrived.

David is speaking of his enemies’ attacks as if they were wild animals trying to devour his flesh. If this image communicates well in your language, please use it. The terms enemies and the ones being hostile to me mean similar things. David is using the two terms together for emphasis. If it would be clearer for your readers, you could express the emphasis with a single phrase. Alternate translation: [my fierce enemies]
