Here the phrase you meet him could mean: (1) that Yahweh met the king. Alternate translation: [you come to him with good blessings] or [you greet him with excellent blessings], or (2) that Yahweh anticipated what the king needed and was already working ahead of time before the king prayed in order to meet his needs. Alternate translation: [you anticipated his needs and came to him with blessings of good] or [you knew what he needed and met him with blessings of good]

David assumes that readers will know that Yahweh himself did not physically place a crown on David’s head but rather chose him to be king and had people crown him as king by placing a crown on his head.
